The Avenger has square front bumper and chin spoiler, with intense Quad LDH optics and angular windshield that accentuate the Avenger’s beauty unlike its other Dodge counterparts. The avenger’s rear end has broad wheel panels and five-spoke “Ultra Bright” wheels made of aluminum.
There are just two flaws that mar the beauty of the Avenger; a wing on the rear deck that appears useless and ill fitted, and a cheap triangular insert to fill the corners of the windows in the rear.
The Avenger is like those ladies whose beauty run only skin deep. While the car is handsome from the exterior, the interiors are vacuous and inexplicable. The major reason behind losing all sense of design is the use of bad quality hard plastic that seems to be inexcusable.
While the plastic is plain repulsive with a short life-span, the Chill-zone Beverage Cooler tries to make up.
But for every car, power and performance is more important.
The Avenger has a 2.7 liter 24-valve V6 that comes with a four-speed cog swapper. While Dodge expects this power plant to be the ultimate choice of the customer, it only delivers 19/27 mpg and produces 189hp that is far from impressive.
The Avenger does not perform well providing neither any excitement nor economy in fuel consumption. Anything at a higher speed than a pedestrian makes you realize that only the front wheels have powers, which eventually make a squealing noise.
With no comfort, performance and quality, spending $27,000 is an option only for those who believe beauty is just skin deep.
